Basic Church Doctrines

The Church believes and teaches the following truths:-

There is only one true and living God.

God has spoken and still is speaking through His Word, the Bible.

The whole of the Bible is inspired by God and therefore completely reliable. It is the only authority for all that we believe and teach.

The gospel is good news for all people in a world which has been ruined by sin.

Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. He is the eternal Son of God, yet He was willing to come into the world as a real man with the express purpose to save sinners. He did this by living a perfect life and then suffering death on the Cross as a perfect sacrifice on behalf of sinners to fufill the requirements of God's law. He then rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, as death could not 'hold' Him (as all those who die 'in Christ').

All who are blessed by God with repentance for their sins and by faith trust in Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour, have eternal life.

The Lord Jesus will come again with great power and glory to judge the world.

The Nicene Creed also sums what our Church members and all true Bible believing Christians hold dear and confirms the above Church statement  of beliefs.

If there is any section of this creed you don’t believe or have doubts about, then please do not just take our word on it, follow  the Apostle Pauls advice and ‘search the Scripture (Holy Bible) to see if these things are true’ and may God bless you in your searching.

The Nicene Creed 325AD **

I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father, God before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father. by whom all things were made.

Who for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried and on the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of the Father and He shall come again, with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the Prophets. And I believe in one holy, universal and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
